Observations:
- The maximum permitted stay in Peruvian territory in transit is two (2) calendar days, counted from the date of entry into the Republic of Peru. This may be extended for a maximum period of fifteen (15) calendar days, which includes the day of entry.
- The transit visa requirement is exempt for all foreign nationals who are exempt from a visa to enter the Republic of Peru, regardless of their immigration status or travel document type, as long as they meet the same conditions under which the exemption was granted.
- The passport of foreigners exempt from the transit visa must be valid for at least six (6) months from the date of entry into Peruvian territory.
- The submission of a visa application and the required documentation does not guarantee the automatic granting of a visa. Each application is individually evaluated by the Peruvian Consul.
- Additional documentation may be requested during the application process
