Issuance of Tourist Visa

Foreign nationals wishing to visit Peru anq require a visa, according to their country of origin, may apply for a Tourist visa if they have recreational or similar purposes. This migratory status does not admit the purpose of immigration, permanent residence or development of remunerated activities.

Requirements
  • Fill out the form provided by the Peruvian consulate. 
  • Personal interview, scheduled by the Peruvian consulate. 
  • Present a valid passport. 
  • Round Trip ticket to Peru (ticket, electronic ticket or RESERVATION printed). 
  • Hotel booking; or tour package booking; or invitation letter legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru (any of these documents). 
  • One (1) passport size colour photograph. 
  • Show financial solvency: Salary certificate (not employer's order), in the case of being an independent worker, present a certification of your income signed by a CPA. 
  • Recent copy of your bank account statement for the last three months, stamped by the bank. (The final balance must be consistent with your expenses in Peru). 
  • Payment of the corresponding consular fee. (Equivalent to $30.00 US dollars) 
  • Copy of residence card. 
  • In the event that someone covers your expenses, you must present a letter. The letter should say that that person is responsible for your expenses and the relationship you have with the person applying for the visa. In addition, a copy of the identity card or passport of the person who covers the expenses, and present the salary certificate and account statements of the last three months stamped and signed by the bank of that person who covers the expenses. 
  • To ask for a date. (22259145 ext. 107) 

"You must present the original receipt of the deposit made in the bank account of the Consulate (Account No. 82405056206 of Banco Davivienda of Costa Rica)."

Observations
  • The submission of the visa application and supporting documents does not guarantee automatic issuance of a visa. Each application is assessed individually by the Peruvian Consul.
  • During the proceedings of the application, it may be required the submission of additional requirements.
