Foreign nationals wishing to do business in Peru must obtain a business visa, unless the country of origin of the citizen has an agreement with the Peruvian government to allow travel to Peru without a business visa for this purpose. This Visa is mandatory for anyone who is going to conclude a contract.
Requirements:
- Fill out the visa application form DGC 005
- Valid passport (must have at least six months of validity beyond intended stay).
- Proof of residence in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi or Tennessee.
- Roundtrip airline tickets or reservation and hotel reservation.
- 2 passport photos, in color and white background.
- Letter from the employer/company, addressed to the Consulate of Peru, stating the purpose and duration of the applicant’s visit and that he/she has sufficient economic support to cover all expenses during the stay in Peru.
- If the visit is tied to a Peruvian company or counterpart, letter of this company, addressed to the Consulate of Peru, stating the purpose and duration of the applicant’s visit and that he/she has sufficient economic support to cover all expenses during the stay in Peru.
- Police Record (background check) issued in the place of residence.
- Personal interview, if requested.
Consular fee:
- US $ 30.00 paid in cash or money order on the name of Consulate General of Peru.
Processing time: 2 weeks
- Working hours are 8:30 to 14, Monday to Friday.
- The submission of the visa application and supporting documents does not guarantee automatic issuance of a visa. Each application is assessed individually; additional documents may be required.
